Repertoire for Piano CLAVICOLOGNE:
The competition will be held from 9th to 11th of March 2018 in Aachen Hochschule für Musik und Tanz.
Competition schedule: 1st and 2nd age group: 9-11 March 2018, 3d age group: 8-11 March 2018.
1st age group:
One piece of Vienna Classic Repertoire by Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven or Clementi.
Free choice of programme.
The total duration of the performance up to 20 minutes.
2nd age group:
The participants must perform one piece of a classical Sonata by Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven or Clementi.
One etude by Chopin, Liszt, Rachmaninov, Saint-Saens, Skrjabin, Moszkowski or Debussy and the rest is Free Choice programme.
The total duration of the performance up to 30 minutes.
3d age group in 2 Rounds
First Round (max. 12 minutes) – Free Choice program including one short piece of programme by a maltese composer – Karl Fiorini, Alexey Shor or Joseph Vella.
Final Round (max. 30 minutes) – Single movement of a classical sonata, or variations, or fantasie by Haydn, Mozart or Beethoven and one or more works of free choice.
Obligatory pieces by a maltese composer are placed below, kindly download a piece of your choice.
Each participant of age category 3 of the International ClaviCologne Piano Competition shall select one or two pieces (minimum 5 minutes) for the 1st round of the competition.

Free Choice Programme, including one work of the classical period (also one movement of a classical sonata).
