Dear students, young pianists, music lovers and other honourable guests!
It is our great pleasure to announce that the third edition of the International Piano Festival ClaviCologne of North Rhine-Westphalia will take place from 11th to 19th March 2016. For the second consecutive time the event will be held at Aachen branch of the Conservatory of Cologne.
We are glad to retain support of the Dortmund Orchestra centre which hosts the best students of North Rhine-Westphalia state's four Conservatories. At the final concert the best participants of our Festival will be granted an opportunity to perform Mozart and Haydn with the above Orchestra. The subject concert will be held at the Ballroom of the old Kurhaus located in the core of Aachen.
ClaviCologne welcomes talented pianists, young musicians and students from all over the world. Viennese classicism is the main theme of this Festival. This event also presents master-classes of the best professors of the European piano schools, namely Prof. Pavel Gililov and Prof. Jacques Rouvier from Mozarteum (Salzburg) apart from many other world-famous musicians.
During the Festival a Piano competition in four categories of participants up to 35 years of age will be held. The Jury will be comprised of the professional musicians including Professors who will not participate in master-classes.
Participants will also have an opportunity to perform at vast concert halls of North Rhine-Westphalia's cities such as Aachen, Bonn, Cologne, Dusseldorf as well as at the concert halls of Holland and Belgium.
The Festival will be mainly held in the premises of Aachen branch of the High School of Music and Dance of Cologne. This will enable participants to feel a very special atmosphere of the biggest conservatory in Europe - perhaps, their first step towards their future scholarship will be set there? Furthermore, the Festival will help them to make new friends and connections, obtain new musical perspectives and professional impulses.
We hope to keep the ClaviCologne Festival of North Rhine-Westphalia a great celebration of music to be enjoyed not only by participants but also by all music lovers. We wish good luck to all our guests!
Last but not least, we would like to thank the High School of Music and Dance of Cologne and its Aachen branch for its perpetual cooperation, assistance and support.
We await your enrollment details now and hope to see you soon in Aachen at ClaviCologne Festival in 2016!
With kindest musical regardsProf. Andreas Froelich, Artistic Director
