NRW – International Piano Festival 04-18.03.2017


General Information

Master classes will be held from 4th to 9th of March 2017

International piano Master Class on the ClaviCologne / Aachen Festival will take part from 04.03.2017 till 09.03.2017  in Aachen, in Belgien and in Holland.
The participants of the Festival will have an opportunity to take master classes with worldwide famous piano teachers:
  • Prof. Gesa Luecker –  University for Music and Dance Cologne, Germany

  • Prof. Pavel Gililov – University of Mozarteum, Salzburg / Austria

  • Prof. Matti Raekallio -University for Music, Theater, Media, Hannover, Germany

  • Prof. Vincenzo Balzani – Conservatory of music Verdi,  Milan                                                             

  • Prof. Ilja Scheps –  Conservatory of Cologne / Aachen / Germany

  • Prof. Henri Sigfridsson –  Folkwang University of Arts in Essen, Deutschland

  • Prof. Yuri Didenko – The Moscow Conservatory, Russia

  • Prof. Arkadi Zenziper – University for Music Dresden, Germany

  • Prof. Leonel Morales –  University Alfonso X El Sabio, Madrid / University of  Mozarteum Salzburg

Each professor will give 45 minutes of individual lesson to the active participants of the master classes, altogether 5 lessons.

Priorities of active participants:

  • Professional Development

  • The development of musical style and perception of music

  • The opportunity to make new friends through young piano players

Also the participants can take part in the “ClaviCologne” concerts.

During the workshop concerts they can show the results of their work at the master classes with the professors.

For the academic concerts in the evenings they can register with a piece of max. 10 min. length, which should be prepared on concert level. The artistic director has the right of choice to select the best candidates.  The academic concerts will be held in the Konzertsaal of the Hochschule für Musik in Aachen, in Castle Maro in Belgium.

There are two different ways of registration:

  1. Active part at the master classes

  2. Passive part in the master classes for parents, teachers of the active participants
