Prof. Michela De Amicis

She approaches Piano studies very young and then graduates brilliantly at the
Conservatory “U. Giordano” of Foggia, under the precious guide of Professor Rachele
Marchegiani. In the same years she also graduates in History of Music at the University of
Bologna, with a thesis on “the Pianism of Alfredo Casella” with M.Luigi Rognoni as thesis
supervisor. She then starts her concert career by participating, and consequently winning,
the Second National Festival of the best graduates of the Year in Cesena. She attends
several courses and masters with the Professors C.Bruno, V.Vitale, M. Type, N. Magaloff,
R.Caporali, C. Zecchi and in particular she perfects her technique with the same Zecchi on
the Mozart repertoire. Since then she devoted herself to the concert scene and has been
defined by critics “a Pianist of a nuanced touch, with a pure and crystal clear sound, logical
and melodious”. She has held and continues holding concerts as a soloist, with orchestras
and chamber ensembles all over the world. She collaborates with prestigious orchestras
figures from the Vienna Symphony and the Vienna Philharmonic (Wolfgang and Walter
Schulz, Hector McDonald, Jan Pospichal, Karl – Heinz Schutz, Patrick De Ritis).
With the trio “Pianiste all’Opera” formed in 1998, she performs for major festivals and
musical institutions, held over 500 concerts in Italy and abroad. She has performed in
prestigious venues such as “La Maison des Arts “in Tunis, under prestigious invitation of
the Italian Embassy,” the Espaj Cultural “of Barcelona, Auditorium “Le temple du Change”
Lyon at “La journée de la femme et de la celebration du 60th Anniversaire du Droit de Vote
aux femmes “, Sollima Theatre of Marsala, Palazzo Rospigliosi in Rome, Standhalle
Eberbach, Bibiena Theatre Mantua, in the historic hall of the former Hungarian Parliament
in Budapest for the inauguration of the conference “Petrarca in Europe”, Auditorium I.I.C.
Addis Ababa, J.Viader Girona Auditorium, Museo de Bellas Arts in Valencia, Acropolium of
Carthage, Auditorium I.I.C. Rio de Janeiro, Teatro Carlos Gomez in Vitoria (Brazil), Estate
