Oleg Krimer

Oleg Krimer, renowned pianist and pedagogue, was born in Belarus. Following his graduation from the Minsk Academy of Music, he completed his post-graduate studies at the Moscow Conservatory, studying under the legendary Prof. J. Milstein.

He is a laureate of national and international competitions and a notable promoter of contemporary composers. With over 20 works dedicated to him, both for piano solo and orchestra concertos, he has performed many world premieres. In 1998, his extensive performance and active support of new works was acknowledged with the award of the best interpreter of contemporary music at the K. Penderecki Festival in Krakow.

Following a successful teaching career at the State Music Academy in Belarus and the Music College for gifted youth in Minsk, he moved to Germany in 2000. Based in Bonn, over 100 of his students are winners and laureates of national and international competitions, including, Jugend Musiziert, the Chopin Youth Music Competition (Poland), the César Franck international piano competition (Belgium). and UNISA International Piano Competition (South Africa).

He is a jury member of numerous international competitions including the Beethoven and Smetana competition in the Czech Republic and the Chopin youth international piano competition in Poland.
